About Mezger Custom Rods
I’m Owen Mezger, and I started Mezger Custom Rods in 2022 when I wanted a fishing rod that didn’t exist. Beginning with a short ultralight, I fell in love with designing and crafting rods from the ground up. Based in Austin, TX, I have since branched out into making all types of rods within my area of angling proficiency, from freshwater and inshore conventional rods to fly rods. From the components to the colors and labels, I control every aspect of my rods to optimize performance and achieve a unique look at a fair price. Fishing is my first passion, but building customers their dream rod is my second. There’s nothing like a Mezger Custom Rod, and I can’t wait to put one in your hands.
